Minton Tile Trivet Animals of the Farm Series, Horses in Blue and White

A Nice English Victorian tile by Minton from the Animals of the Farm series, a series of 12 six inch tiles designed and engraved by William Wise c1879.  This blue and white tile shows a family of horses under a tree. It is made as a trivet and has four raised feet and the markings "MINTONS CHINA WORKS STOKE ON TRENT ENGLAND". Measures 6" x 6" x 5/8". The tile has a nice shiny unworn surface.
