Mexican Tlaquepaque Tile Man and Burro in a Surrealist Landscape
This large 7 1/2 inch square tile was made in Tlaquepaque Mexico in the 1930's. It depicts a man carrying a log and walking behind his burro, all in a surrealist landscape trimmed in a brown border. It is 5/8" thick and made from a tan colored clay. It is unmarked. Excellent condition with a rub on the bottom left corner.
