AETCO American Encaustic Tile Company Indian Man Turban & Sword

An excellent Arts and Crafts era ( c. 1910) tile by the American Encaustic Tile Company of Zanesville Ohio. This tile depicts an Indian man in a turban kneeling while ready to brandish his sword. The background is filled with pottery and Persian rugs. It is made from a red faience clay and is clearly marked on the back. Measures 14" x 9 1/2" x 3/4". The condition remains excellent with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Very desirable for a collector.
