Victorian Fireplace Surround Hand Painted with Birds and Nests

A beautiful hand painted fireplace surround from England. A full 17 tile surround of 6" tiles makes this set 30" tall and 42" wide. Hand painted at the factory by a skilled artist it depicts song birds and their nests filled with eggs within tangles of leafy and flowering branches. Never installed, this was put away for years by an old tile setter before I acquired it from his estate. The backs of the tiles are only marked with a target back. Excellent condition.

Not only can this be used to surround a fire box, the set can also be used around a mirror, a doorway, or any other creative use. What a great gift for a bird watcher.
