Victorian Tile of Playful Puppies
A sweet Victorian era tile from England of playful naughty puppies chewing on some shoes. The circular framed image is decorated with corners in a meandering pattern. A green majolica glaze covers the molded image and pools into the recesses to give the tile depth. It measures 6" square. Unmarked, the tile originates in England. The condition is very good. It has minimal wear, There is a short firing line filled with glaze on the top edge and a chip on the bottom right corner.
