Vintage Hand Painted Nursery Rhyme Tile Little Miss Muffet

This colorful nursery rhyme tile shows an image of  Little Miss Muffet being startled by a spider and losing her curds and whey. The colors had been fired onto the tile for durability, not cold painted. The tile measures 6" square and was decorated onto a blank signed  "Pilkington England" and in ink "Hand painted by Erma Ellingson c 1952." It remains in excellent condition with only a couple of tiny flakes around the edges. Enjoy Erma's freaky rendition of this classic nursery rhyme.
