Early Jugtown Pottery Korean Form Vase With Handles
A beautiful and early Jugtown Pottery Vase emulating an ancient Korean form. Four little pinched handles sit around the shoulder and a frogskin glaze drips down the red clay body. My favorite thing about this pot is that it bears the fingerprints of the potter Charlie Teague in the clay on the side of the pot. Things like this give a collector a connection to the past, to be able to place your fingertips in the same spots the creator did so many years ago.
The pot measures 7 inches tall and about 5 inches wide. Wonderfully proportioned where the rim flares outward from the body. It remains in excellent condition.
