Antique tiles like this don't come along often. This Aesthetic Movement tile has a Japanesque manner detailed design of insects flying and crawling around the leaves and flowers of an azalea. If you look closely you'll find bees, butterflies, inchworms and a ladybug peeking out from the corner. The transferware tile is marked "Minton's China Works Stoke On Trent". The tile measures 6" square. Framed it measures 7 3/4" square. Excellent condition with only a few light surface scratches.
