Rossman Tile Art Deco Mayan God

An Art Deco tile of a Pre Columbian God spouting rays of color from his mouth. Love the spots of that Rossman uranium red glaze accents. Made from a tan faience clay it has an incised mark 1606 on the back. Measures 6" square. Excellent condition. I once owned a similar tile from the series that was marked, shown in the last 2 photos for reference.

The Rossman Tile Company of New York New York and Beaver Falls PA. was in business for only 3 years, 1927 - 1930. Tiles from this company are pretty uncommon and very desirable.
