Walter Crane Nursery Rhyme Trivet Little Bo Peep by Mosaic Tile Company

Walter Crane was an accomplished 19th century illustrator famous for his nursery rhyme book Baby's Opera, His designs were used by several American and English tile companies in the early 1900's. This tile is from the Mosaic Tile Company of Zanesville, Ohio and has a transfer design of Little Bo Peep in search of her sheep in a Spring landscape among the daffodils. Measures 6" x 6" x 1/2". This tile has an interesting application of the design. The surface remains shiny and unworn. The back is marked MOSAIC.
