English Transfer Tile Panels of Putti by Minton China Works

A group of (10) English decorative transfer ware ceramic tiles by the Minton China Works, comprising two pictoral sets of five tiles each, together depicting a Neoclassical scene of a putto statue playing flutes together with columns, urns, and garlands on an ivory ground, marked 'Minton China Works,' each tile measuring 6"h x 6"w, each set measuring 30"h x 6"w.

The set is in beautiful condition, the surfaces unworn and the backs clean. Framed they would fit perfectly on that awkward little wall flanking a window or door, or used in an installation or fireplace surround.
