Wedgwood Tile "Jolly" Sport Fishing Series

This tile is part of the humorous six tile series entitled "An Eventful Days Fishing" designed at Wedgwood between 1870-1900. The title of this tile is "Jolly". It shows a fisherman under an umbrella in the pouring rain. The tile measures 6" square and 3/8" thick. The back has the embossed mark "JOSIAH WEDGWOOD & SONS ETRURIA". The condition is very good. The surface is unworn and shiny with a couple of small flakes on the edges. A great series to collect.
