Copeland Blue & White Tile Blooming Azalea Branch
This Copeland tile is from the 1880's and has a blue and white transfer design of a blooming azaela branch. The outline is printed onto the plastic clay and then the details are overpainted and glazed. The blue is deep and white is crisp. Framed or displayed on an easel or plate hanger this 6" square antique tile is both durable and decorative. It remains in very good condition with little surface wear and small flake on the top right corner and on the bottom right edge. Traces of grout on back. Unsigned.
