Elio Schiavon Italian Art Pottery Cityscape Vase
From Elio Schaivon (1925 - 2004) is a wonderfully abstract cityscape vase that has bold red streaks flowing down from the rim to the shoulder, all in bright shiny glazes. Nearly 16 inches tall this handmade vessel is made in a Modernist style on a traditional form. It measures about 8 1/2" at its widest and 4 3/4" diameter at the base. Marked on the base Schiavon Italia. A beautiful Modern statement piece from the 1950's in excellent condition with a few grinding flakes on the foot.
