Georg Schmider Majolica German Art Nouveau Tile of a Flower
This antique tile was made in Zell Germany by Georg Schmider around 1900. The design is rendered in a raised line and shows a central image of a red flower, flanked by sinewy stems, leaves and flower buds. It measures 6" square and about 1/4" thick. Both sides of the tile are glazed, the back with an impressed 947. Generally these type of tiles were saved for display or used in pieces of furniture. It remains in excellent condition.
I have a few of these with flowers in varying shades of color if you need more than one.
