Landscape Tile Panel Mountains and Pine Trees
This Arts and Crafts era tile panel shows snow capped mountains, a river and tall spruce trees. It is comprised of two 6-inch square tiles in a repeating pattern, so that the central image can either be trees or a river depending how you place the tiles. They are glazed in blues and greens in a raised line method. Unsigned, they are attributed to Helman Le Glaive of Brussels Belgium and date to about 1900. They are in very good condition with unworn surface and minor flakes around the edges. Four pairs of these tiles are available, which would make an impressive border in a backsplash or bath or to decorate the top of a fireplace.
