Mosaic Tile Company Arts and Crafts Monk Drinking Ale, Falls City Brewery.

This tile of a monk drinking ale was made by the Mosaic Tile Company of Zanesville Ohio for the Falls City Brewery of Louisville, Kentucky.  Dating to the 1910's this 9" tile was probably one of a kind.  It was rescued from a demolition, the mortar professionally removed and then framed. Top rate framing and a nice choice of a burled wood veneer in and Arts and Crafts manner. Measures 13" x 13" x 1 1/2" thick. Ready to hang. This tile was photographed for the four volume Encyclopaedia of American Art Tile by Norman Karlson.

Great gift for someone with a wine cellar, or someone interested in brewing and the local history of Louisville.
