Made at the Le Glaive factory of Belgium, this antique tile shows a purple lily. This would have been part of an elaborate border. The design is tubelined, meaning an artist applied every outline of slip by hand with a syringe much like decorating a cake or cookie. It measures 6" square. Excellent condition.
