Victorian Blue Tile Fireplace Surround Panels Adam and Eve by Trent

These antique tile fireplace surround side panels depict a nude man and woman (Adam and Eve?) in a dazzling blue majolica glaze. The 6 inch square tiles form two panels, each measuring 6" x 30". The tops and bottoms are graced with rosettes of acanthus leaves symbolizing enduring life. The acanthus tiles are marked TRENT on the back for the Trent Tile Co (1882-1939) of Trenton NJ. The backs are clean and the tiles are ready to be framed or re-installed. Excellent condition with only minor flaws.
