Vintage Royal Copenhagen Bird Tile by Berte Jessen 1958

A super Royal Copenhagen Aluminia Faience tile of a bird modeled in low relief. Beautifully and intricately hand decorated by Berte Jessen and dated 1958. The Danish Modern tile measures 6" square and 5/16" thick. The back is clearly marked, with a tick under the M as the date code for 1958.  A very pretty color combination and the vintage tile remains in excellent condition.
