Vintage Stoneware Wine Bottle Coaster

This pretty wine bottle coaster, a small round tray with a raised rim, was hand made with a geometric design in durable stoneware. It measures 5 3/4" diameter and 7/8" tall. It can easily hold a bottle with a 4 1/2" diameter. It can also be a nice spot to drop loose change or keys. Incised into the back in German, handmade, an artist's cipher and '94. The artist incised holes into the foot of the tray so that it can be hung on the wall for display. The floral design is reminiscent of the hex signs of the Pennsylvania Dutch. Beautiful and useful it remains in excellent condition.
