Vintage California Tile Panel by Taylor Santa Monica

This vintage 12" square tile panel was made by Taylor Tilery (1930-1941) of Santa Monica California. From a later 1930s production the tiles are made from a dust pressed body and covered in waxy matte glazes. This set has a sand colored background to its kaleidoscopic design. Each tile measures 6" square and 3/8" thick which makes them easy to mix with contemporary tile. Marked "Santa Monica Tiles" on the back. Cleaned of grout and mortar the tiles are in excellent condition.
